The good thing about a blog is that it allows us to get to know each other informally. We can talk about our problems and our successes and it is almost like talking to yourself, but the response let you know it is being read.
The bad thing is that if you stop writing for a few days, it is very hard to start writing again;-)
I feel like I am finally making progress today on my assignments, but I had to take the day off work to do it. I am having a real problem with scheduling my time effectively. My biggest issue is that it takes three times as long to do something as I think it should. Finding and reviewing a website should be twenty minutes, but it takes me almost and hour. I really hope that this is just a sign of how long I have been out of school and not a real measure of my personal abilities.

Tressy you will always find there is not enough time in the day as a teacher. You learn how to multi task and be flexible. Then your natural teaching ability will cover the rest. We are DOING ALOT of work in the time frames given so be kind to yourself. I did this much in a whole regular semester in my past college experiences. I was also not happy with the amount of time I spent on the webiliography. I had a hard time finding sites I really liked and then it seemed I liked them for all the same reasons as the previous one. Some of them also seemed so similiar anyways. Hard to figure how to write the same thing differently! ha
I totally understand! I had to get my sister to come watch my son today so that I could get some work done! I also took alot longer on my webliography than I had scheduled. Somehow nap time and after bedtime are not enough, so I am going to have to find a plan B. I have also questioned my personal abilities this week as - mothering as well as school. My son has started the "terrible twos"(fits everyday it seems) early I'm afraid! Well, I know one thing for sure and that is that you definitely have more than enough personal abilites. I hardly know you and I can tell that! Keep up the good work! It is very comforting to know others feel similar to me at times!
Tressy, I find the same thing always happens to me about how long things take to do. One of my problems is my snail-paced, dialup
internet connection. I am still searching for something available in my area that will be faster and is reasonably priced. Seems right now I can't have both of those options. So I continue to creep along. You mentioned taking time off from work to get your class assignments done. Didn't you mention that you work at Dura? I worked in the office there for 16 years. I left there 10 years ago
to go back to school and get my teaching degree. I haven't missed it a day since I've been gone. Good luck to you!
Tressy, hang in there. It is not just you. We all have those days. I just arrrived at the point that I just wanted the webliography and so be it. Good luck with working and taking a class. Just remember that you can only do so much in the amount of time that we have.
