I found today to be interesting. The discussion on social networking was very interactive with a lot of good points made both pro and con. I think it highlighted very well what we all hope and fear from the Internet. I know that I personally hope for a place that concentrates on social interaction at its best with a flow of ideas and the rapid give and take of real discussion.
I sadly know that is not completely possible. The fun is that it CAN happen, the bad is the number of people who are hurt everyday by trusting when they shouldn't. I think I have mentioned this resource before, but www.wiredkids.org is a wonderful place for kids and adults to visit to learn how to be safe on the net.

Yes, thanks for the link. I can let my niece get on this site as well. She can usually only play on Nickjr or PBSkids.
Tressy, you are a good mom. I cracked up at the comment he made after passing his drivers exam. I am very aware of the dangers for kids on using the web thanks of the resource.
