Well, I was feeling like maybe I was getting a handle on my time management skills. That was probably my first mistake. Today was just one disaster after another. First, dad drove today. That's right, less than one month after major brain surgery and he is on the road. Then I of course didn't meet expectations as to what I should have accomplished so far as the yard work. Once he left to drive home (after spending an hour working on the lawn mower - something else he shouldn't be doing), I was a nervous wreck and couldn't settle down to work on anything.
I finally just set down and made the complete list of everything I needed to accomplish this week (today would have been better) and once I put it on paper, it finally stopped swirling around in my head. It was a fairly scary list, but I shared it with my men-folk and they actually helped me with housework. Will wonders never cease?
I am going to just live by this list this week and we'll see what happens. I will of course keep everyone informed since I don't have much else to write about;-)

I am a list person too. I enjoy being able to mark off a completed item. One step at a time.
That is the way that I have to deal with everything that needs to be accomplished in one day. I hope that I can get everything on my list finished if not I am not going to beat myself up over it. Tressy, I hope that the rest of your week goes better than Sunday did. I know how you feel about your dad doing things that you feel he shouldn't be doing yet. My dad had a heart transplant many years ago, and I tried to pamper him as much as he would let me.
Tressy I did THE LIST thing too to help ease my mind! I prayed some too!
I know how frustrating it can be when your parent is not complying with your wishes for a good recovery!
Tressy, I do not see you at all lacking in management skills. You are one of the most organized persons I have met. I have decided that I need an executive secetary. I will advertise for one, and we will all share!!!! Thanks for taking the job as "class president." You are already doing a great job. Thanks so much for the class demographics list. I have wanted everyone's info. It is greatly appreciated!!!! See you in a week, girl. Hang in there. Hey when the guys finish your housework, send them over here!!!! Love you, girl, Jeannie
