Saturday Class

That was a very fun way to handle class. It was really interesting to see how technology can be integrated seamlessly into the education process. First, we have a video to watch, then a power point presentation (with audio!). To show that we were paying attention to the presentation, we get to cruise around and check out some web pages and write a quick editorial about them.

This is a great example of what we can offer to teachers for a collaboration. How cool would it be to create a power point that the teacher can use with either the entire class or for special needs students on a case-by-case basis? How else can we use the technology to help the teachers or ourselves make life (and teaching) easier?

The next obvious question is how can I use technology right now to help my survive this next year?

Tomorrow is another day

Why is it that real life keeps interrupting what you want to do? I had plans to come home today and read and work in my textbook, research a bit, and start my webpage. What did I really do?

Go to my best friend's house to borrow her laptop so I can finish the church directory this weekend, talk to my son on the phone (he has been spending this week at my sister's), and I don't get home until after 8:00.

If I am lucky, I will be able to get caught up with where I want to be by Sunday night. Please.

Day off!

Yes, I admit it. I didn't do any research today at all. I did check out everyone's blog and post some comments. I think it is more fun to see the responses than to write the actual blog, but then I am a crazed attention getter;-)

Escan - yikes!

Okay, it was hard for me to find a good article for my escan. Then I found a great article and when I went to post it, someone had already beaten me to the topic. At least I had a great response ready;-)

Current technology issues are just not hitting any of the search criteria I am using. Can someone give me some good keywords to try?

WOW!

After having read though most of the blogs of my fellow classmates and their responses, I have to say that I think we are all really talented. It is so wonderful to spend time with literate people who have opinions and aren't afraid to share them.

I also think that the state of Tennessee is going to be graced with a fabulous batch of librarians next year;-)
