Library Visit

Well, I decided to check out a public library for our library visits. Part of me thinks it would be interesting to work in a public library instead of a school library. The director was very nice and gave me an hour of her time. She also said she is willing to talk to me any time and answer questions either in person or on the phone. Have ya'll noticed how NICE librarians are? I have yet to meet one that wasn't willing to take time and really answer my questions. She was very forthcoming about what she considered to be the downside of the librarian lifestyle and had lots of suggestions for what she considered to be good libraries around to visit.

I really think that using the public library as a resource would be a good idea for a school library. What do ya'll think?

Technology II

Well, I think we are going to have a real fun time in this class, even though there is less interaction. I am a bit disappointed that the escans are just an individual submission instead of a discussion board. However, since it is the same topics we have already discussed, maybe it is better that we just write up our ideas/understanding of the topic and move on.

I am still stumped on the presentation thing. I think I want to do an excel thing, but I am scared of the 15 minute limit. What can I really do in just 15 minutes? Does anyone think I could do the gradebook presentation in 15 minutes?
